Compare Your Clicks
How much is a click worth? This tool allows you to run live comparisons of keyword bid prices at multiple pay-per-click search engines, including FindWhat, Bay9, Ah-ha, Brainfox, GoClick, ePilot, Kanoodle, PageSeeker and Espotting. Prices are detailed for the top six positions. At the time of this writing, a sample search revealed that top position for the keyword "marketing" was going for 67 cents at ePilot and 2 cents at Kanoodle -- good to know. FYI, both Google and Overture offer proprietary keyword bid price tools on their websites as well.
Yahoo! Finance
It may seem like a strange place to look, but search the message boards here under the tickers of the major publicly-traded PPC services (LOOK, OVER, FWHT), and you'll get a sense of heated (and often biased) debates over the fortunes of these companies. This is also a handy way to access financial information, SEC filings and insider trades for these companies.

Specifically, check out the forum on "pay-per-click engines." Online forums can have a poor signal-to-noise ratio, but here experiences of strange glitches and editorial policies are shared with others in nearly real time, if you go for that sort of immediacy. An anonymous Google rep, GoogleGuy, has been supplemented with a new addition, AdWordsAdvisor. This adds spice and solid (if often limited) information. Don't get too caught up in the "low rent" mentality of some of the webmasters.
